I purchased a used Big Red approximately a year ago and I have an older version of the Design Shop Pro+ software (I believe 7.011??). I want to update my software to the latest version, however, I was told at the Ft. Worth Tradeshow that Melco was coming out with a new version in January 2009. Does anyone know what new features will be in the new version, when I asked at the tradeshow, they never really said just that it will be better. I was just wanting some input what would be the best route to go.

Dear Beckie,
I would call Melco sales and ask them. I know it is going to be more graphic friendly. Things are in a position similar to graphic software.Wishes In Stitches Embroidery
4502 W. Buffalo Street
Chandler, Arizona 85226
480-216-3163

Becky,
The sofware version you spelled out doesn't jive.
You're missing some numbers. Know this, the version of Design Shop that is currently available has been available for most of this year with only a few hiccups that come to mind. You might be able to take advantage of end of year savings, if there is such a thing, and be current with the rest of us.
The current version of Design Shop is 7.00.114

The version of Design Shop is 4.01.017 and Amaya OS is 7.00.045 I checked this morning. Before anyone says "how could this be" - long story, this is a machine I am purchasing through Beacon Funding (repo I presume) they promised me a certain type of software, after months of not being able to deliver what they contracted for and dongles not matching software CD's they contacted a trainer, Colleen to help them out and she provided the software and dongles through Melco/Beacon and whoever. My biggest concern is that the updated software does not effect my "Big Red" since I don't have an XT. Thank you for all of your advice.Beckie Henderson
Bee-Utiful Creations
