I'm working on vinyl bank coin bags,I'm using 70/10 PD needle with ARC poly thread. running at 450 spm. The problem - I'm getting a "bobbin break" message when there is no bobbin break. any ideas or tips?

I did find by adding wax paper with mesh backing and very slow (450) running speed, no loops, thread breaks, and the hoop stays in place.
I've been looking for the False Bobbin breaks in the "manual" and have only found thread breaks.

Gabi,
Your troubles could be that you're running the machine too slow. I have found that the slower speeds don't always do justice to the thread break/bobbin break detection system. You could try turning off the bobbin detection just until you finish this job.
You may also be getting this false bobbin break error if you are tearing a hole as you sew. What I mean is if your stitches are too close together in the design (either density or column's width) and/or you aren't using enough backing, you could also experience this error even though you have plenty of bobbin in the bobbin case. When you are finished with one of the garments, hold it up with a bright light behind it and see if where you were getting this error in the design has large gaps in the fabric.
If so use more backing or have your design edited.
Best of luck,

Check your bobbin tension and presser foot height. Also Ed is correct too slow can cause some problems. I do a lot of embroidery for auto upholsters on leather and vinyl. I run it at normal speeds with no problems.
