I am running DesignShop + 7.00.114 on a Windows Vista machine and I cannot see the drawing box. What I mean is if I simply have the select tool chosen and try to draw a box around the image, I cannot see the box. It does select what I want, but I need to see the box I am drawing. Any ideas?

The 'select' tool doesn't draw a box-it only 'grabs'the items to highlight them for checking properties, size and scale, etc.
You need to click on the 'walk normal' line tool, then go over to the 'shapes' tool icon and click that, pull down and select the 'box' design. Now you have turned your 'pointer' into a 'drawing' tool and you drag it across your design-there's your box, which you can change to whatever size you need. You can create a new color for this or move it in the 'file tree' to whatever color or sewing order you want. Once it is 'highlighted' you can change it to satin line, anything or size you want. Is this what you are trying to do?

OK. Let me try to explain more clearly. I have a design on the screen and I simply want to select some part of it. Normally, you just use the select tool, click and hold the mouse button, draw a square around the items I want to select and let the button go. That will then select all the objects that were enclosed by the box.
My box will not show up (even though I knwo its drawing it). this same behavir happens when I try to create a complex fill (or anything else). I click point 1 and move to point 2 and a line shoudl be drawing while I am going to point 2, but my line doesn't show up.
Its not really a Design problem, more of an interface problem...June & Marty
JuneForever
Custom Apparel and Gifts

443-904-5060
[email protected]

Marty\'s email: [email protected]

Just to close this out, I changed the computer graphics from 32-bit color to 16-bit color and it works now.June & Marty
JuneForever
Custom Apparel and Gifts

443-904-5060
[email protected]

Marty\'s email: [email protected]
