color change/trim?

I am editing a design in design shop pro, does it automatically do a trim every time it does a color change or do you need to add a trim also? Does the trim go before the color change? Thanks, Ck

Every color change is an automatic trim-so you don't have to worry about it.
Automatic trims are inserted by the program when the sewing moves to a new 'spot' that is over the length you have preset in properties box. "trim if over xxx". Default is 1/4" I believe but you can change that. Don't go longer-it can make a mess of things at high speed to 'jump' that far.
