Has anyone heard when the new version of Design Shop is going to be ready and available? It has almost been 6 months since I bought my Amaya XT and was wanting to get the free upgrade.
I was just reading other posts and someone said they were installing version 7.00.114. I am using version 7.00.046. My tech advised me to call him before installing when Melco sends me the next version but maybe I should call them. It has been several months, nothing yet and my warranty is about to expire.
The version shipping in late 2007 was supposed to be Vista compatible. I received mine the end of September and it wasn't. I ordered a Vista compatible upgrade from Melco earlier this year. I think it was DS version/release 7.00.112, Amaya OS 7.00.112.
Don't you just love those MAC commercials where the PC guy is singing the "Vista Blues".
I don't like the fact they're bad mouthing my PC but I do enjoy a funny joke regardless.
No Vista Blues here. Still running XP.

I have a new laptop with Vista and am loving it. Now if I could just find everything as easily as in XP ... but I'm sure I'll get there. Just reformatted my XP desktop 'puter and am reinstalling the programs. For someone who knows just enough to get me in trouble, I'm sure feeling techie today.
BTW, it's a great day in Colorado. Hope the sun is shining bright for everyone.

I just did a clean install of Vista SP1 on Terri's system. She likes it much better than XP. With a clean install, her system is completely stable. XP was having constant issues almost from day 1.
DS 7.00.112 is working fine under Vista. The only very minor issue is that DS wants elevated priveleges when it starts, so she has to ok that each time.
Finding things is actually easier than in XP. Click on the start menu and type the first couple of letters and the program or file almost instantly is highlighted at the top of the list. Click enter and the program or file launches.
Thanks for the great tip. I'm really a happy camper now.

Keep in mind that Vista is happiest with 2GB ram, a fast processor, seperate graphics card with 128MB, good sized Hard drive and little or no pre-installed junkware.
