Does anybody know if Designshop Pro Plus will convert open type or postscript fonts like it does true type fonts? I know some of the fonts have to much detail to convert but some with just the outlines is what I am interested in.This is the website I was looking at http://www.letterheadfonts.com/

    Thanks

I have used Letterhead fonts a lot-bought some of them, but that's because I do a lot of sign work and their fonts are great for what I do.
I have not tried running them through Designshop-all I've done is created logos in Mac Freehand using the fonts, convert to outline, then send the whole logo into designshop as vector line art.
Pick the right fill or if not too wide use a satin column and they look great!
Guess I'll have to try moving some of the fonts over if I have them in true type.

      Roland,
I figured you had used some of these fonts before.I didn't think about converting outline to vector and then importing. It shouldn't be to big of a hassle just do all of your layout in a given graphics program first.

Most of my logo work for embroidery comes from stuff I've already done for signs, screenprinting, etc.-so grabbing a vector line drawing is easy for me. I've imported a few fonts into the design shop before but never tried it with fonts from my mac yet...
have to give it a try and see what happens. Just not enough 'usable' fonts in the package that came with Design shop...most of them I consider garbage fonts-nothing I'd use to embroider for anyone at anytime. Would be great if I can delete over half of them and load in the fonts I really WANT to use!

I agree with that! I spent a few hours working on a logo for a race car and could not come up with anything until I started searching for true sign fonts. What a difference.

Not being a sign person myself, where would you look for sign fonts? I have to agree, not all fonts are created equal.

Do you have a web site for them?
                Thanks,
