• DS and OS upgrade

I just received the latest software upgrade but am afraid to install it after seeing some of the problems being experienced by others. Does anyone know if it is really a bug in the upgrade or is it something else. If it's a problem with the software, is Melco aware and doing anything about it. Any techs out there have any advice?

What bug are you referring to? I have just upgraded the OS because I just bought DS+Pro. I have no problems or bugs. In fac,t there are very apparent improvements.

I am asking if there is a problem with the newest upgrade. One user just posted a problem that she believes is related to the new upgrade. A few weeks ago someone was posting problems they were having sewing designs created in another software (can't remember which). I can't remember all the details but look in archives maybe you can find it. I will as well. However, if you aren't having any problems, then it must be something else causing their grief. Thanks for your reply. Makes me feel better.

That person having the problems with the new software upgrade could have been me as I had and am still having a couple issues with my new XT. So, I'm not sure if it was just my software, new machine or a combination of both. I'm still having the z axis problem, but waiting to see if it is a pattern or just a "hic-up". After sewing the same design (a logo)about 6 or so times, I get an error message that has something to do with the z axis not responding quick enough and missing a command to go head up(i should write these things down <smile&gt! So, I have gone into maintenance and click head-up, which gets me sewing again. BUT...I now know to make sure it hasn't changed my thread tension. I looked up after the last episode and my tension had jumped up to 200 instead of 4. Both times this happened I was doing lettering and didn't see that the machine changed my tension setting but I sure did notice that the next letter was nothing but loops!! I guess I'll call tech support the next time it happens. Hopefully it will be on a weekday. Debbie in Indiana

I installed upgrades a couple months ago with no problems. Went right over the existing versions, didn't have to unistall or delete anything. I'm running 3 Red Wagons and they do what I want them to.
