  • Shading lettering

Does anyone know how to makes letters go from lighter to darker as the text moves across the design?

Different color thread. You have to manually digitize the lettering or convert it to wireframe editing and insert the color changes.

Let me clarify that. If you are stitching the word "ALABAMA", and you want to transition from a white "A" from the front of the word to a red "A" at the end of the word, I would find the font and size I wanted and set the job up.

Then, select the text, right click, and select "convert to wireframe".

Then, insert color changes between each letter and set the color properties so that each letter were a few shades different from the previous letter.

Finally, come back with some highlights and insert single line or light density colums to the fronts and/or trailing edges of each letter to give it that fade transitional look.
