  • Show hoop in DS

How do yu show the hoop, say an 18 cm round, in DS. I am digitizing a design and need to have the hoop visable.

Hi Juli. I don't have DS open right now, but on the tool bars, in about the middle, is an icon that looks like sets of parenthesis going up and down instead of left to right. It's right next to the big cross hairs, and right around where the ruler is. (That is, of course, all assuming that yours DS is set up like mine, and we ALL know what everyone sets about assuming...!!)

I don't have mine on either, but you have to do more than the crosshairs!
Somewhere up on the menu bar, I think under 'view', pull down and look for 'view' or 'show' hoop-and it will show the selected hoop.
I think you have to select the hoop under 'another' pull down menu...it isn't always nice and easy.
But it works-I use it for showing the slimline clamps.

Right click the sideways (()) on the top bar and you will get a pop up of the choices.

Just wanted you all to know that I finally figured it out. Got the hoop showing so I could adjust some of the names to fit inside before it went to OS.

And BTW When I click on the sideways () I do not get a choice. It was just telling me that I don't have a hoop selected. Finally figured that out and got my 15 cm selected. And I have a very satisfied customer!

And I think I have picked up the "bikers" clubs here. Lots of bikers on the Big Island! They sent a job to the mainland, I guess, and it came back so wrong that their parent organization won't let them display it. It is just words on a heavy silver cloth. Would yu believe that I found a very close match at the local fabric store. It is the stuff you put on ironing boards. And think of the heat it'll take!

              Good night all,
