  • JPG in DS?

Is there a way to make a JPG file from an embroidery design in DS? I would like to e-mail a customer a picture of the design to see if it suits her. I can do this in my home software but that is not installed. I thought for sure DS would do this but I can not figure it out.

Sure....from the 'file' menu, select 'save as' and then select jpg in the drop down list of file types.

haven't got the computer for that up and running but it is there-I've used it.
I can't remember if it is a 'save as' or 'export as' in the pull down menu,
but it's there under 'file' I think.
If it isn't jpg then it will be pdf.
I am pretty sure it is jpg because I've taken a lot of my customer logos
and made a 'collage' of them for a poster advertising what I've done-with
the stitching shown in 3-d, and then printed it on my digital printer on adhesive
      to make the signs.
It's in there...just check every pull down menu and look for 'save' , save as other,
export, something like that and a secondary window opens up for file type.

I have been helped so many times and am so thankful that I can help one time!

Do "Save As" then choose close to the botom of the list of various modes to save as JPEG. I hope this is clear enough--I'm not with my machine.

Oh what a dummy I am! Of course I looked at save as first but did not notice there were more choices to scroll down to.

Keep in mind the reason I do not have my other software is because I turned over a can of Coke on the laptop.

Thank you all for more than fast replies!

I have also found it advantageous after creating the JPG to resize it (smaller) for easier viewing as an attachment

I use print screen then paste into MS Paint and crop it. I always save as BMP file because every Windows computer from 3.1 to Vista can read it. MAC's and Linux have no problem with BMP files too. Newer computers have no problems with JPG and GIF files but I had a customer a year ago that was on windows 95 (Yes, you read that correctly) and couldn't read my JPG file so I save it in BMP now.
