Design Shop shutting down

I just bought a new computer. A Dell with Windows XP loaded on it from the factory. When I open a design in DS, it won't let me edit at all. It will freeze up and stop responding.

Is there anyone who may have had this problem?

Also, if a creat a simple design it won't shut right down but when I move the design around it is really slow and jerky..

I found that if I had other things open, or had been using other programs, the same thing sometimes happened. I finally got a separate computer with a gig of memory, and I haven't had that particular problem since.

I agree with Judy. I had the same problem on my old computer which had 512mb of RAM. When I got a new computer with a gigabyte of RAM, DesignShop has run without any problems.
