What is the best setting to lower density on any design without widening the columns? I'm trying to achieve a soft embroidery design and going cross-eyed trying to play with all the settings -- to the point I don't know where I started...

I pull up a design. Decide perhaps it should go on a sweater. Need to lower the tension (so to speak) so it doesn't pull the sweater into the center of the design and cause puckering. I don't want to change the integrity of the design though. Please help.

    REPOST TO THE RIGHT SPOT:

You can go to scale and change the density of the item selected or the whole
design by a certain percentage. Or if you are working with ofm or cnd files
you can check each individual item and change the settings there. It
depends on if you are wanting to change certain colors as a whole or just
certain areas or the whole design. It definitely helps to have some
digitizing and/or editing experience to know what needs changed and how it
needs to be changed. Each design is different as well as setting used so
there is no simple answer as far as do this this and this everytime and it
will take care of your problem. Alot of editing of designs in embroidery
should be done by someone experienced because they know what to change and
where to change it or at least have a better idea. The easiest way is to
start by changing the densities in the scale tab and see what the changes
    do.
