  • Re:DS trouble

    Sandra,
I had similar problems right after getting my machine. All my designs were there..you just couldn't see them. Had to delete DS and re install. The guys in software are very helpful at Melco. They guided me thru the whole thing.

Did Melco offer up an explanation for the disappearing designs?

We auto digitized a vector drawing, but when it was completed, it could not be found anywhere on the screen. We could left click on the area where it used to be and would get a wire frame only (no fill).

Closing DS and reopening would give us the design back. Very frustrating!

I had this exact same thing happen when I first installed my DS and OS onto a laptop. Once I got a regular PC with a lot more memory and installed everything, I did not have this problem.

I purchased a used Amaya and fixing to load DS and OS on a laptop. Are there a lot of problems loading the software on laptops? Also I only have USB ports on my laptop - can I use the dongles on a USB/Parallel converter?

              Beckie,

As long as the laptop has the right specifications you will should have any problems with DS and OS on it.
As for the USB/Parallel converter, we would recommend that you contact Melco and change your dongles over to USB dongles, as this will avoid any converter problems.
