  • old .emb logo's not being read

Have some "old" .emb file extension designs from when we had our old emc machines and would like to be able to use them. However, I can't get them to be read. Any tricks?

.emb files are Wilcom master files, you can get the a converter FREE at http://www.wilcom.com.au/support/truesizer/

It's a must have for any embroiderer

      Ernest,
I just received a .emb file and Design Shop Pro* doesn't "see it" as an embroidery file.

      Your link no longer works

Anyone know how to convert it?

Just found the correct link. You need to register first, but it's free to download.

.emb files are not read by Melco software because of the "falling out" Melco and Wilcom had when Melco started selling their own software. Melco used to sell Wilcom software, when Melco dropped them it was not recieved well by Wilcom and Melco was not able to use .emb files any longer. That's why Design Shop will save in almost any embroidery format except .emb.
