Opening .eps and .ai formats

I am having trouble opening an .eps file in design shop. It wont open the whole file it leaves some of the design out. I was then sent the same file in .ai format and design shop wont open it at all. Nothing shows up. can anyone help...? Thanks

Something sticks in me mind about this. To get an ai/eps into DS I think you have to copy and paste. This requires you to have the Adobe Illustrator or host program that creates the file. Then again I could be all wet. Would like to hear some other input.

An EPS can be brought in via file/open and then digitized, I've done it a lot. A corel or CDR file must be done by copy/paste.

Corel Draw files can be brought directly in to Design Shop Pro as long as they are created as Version 8 files.

I read all the posts. Ask the person giving you the .ai file if they will create a copy of the file as a version 8 file. By doing a back version file it is more likely you can bring the file into Design Shop.
