Lost Embroidery Keys

Does anyone know if it is possible to get new USB embroidery keys?

For the Amaya OS? I accidently melted my OS USB dongle. Melco replaced it with a new one for $95 or so plus shipping. Then I had to send them my melted one to get the permanent code for the new dongle.

From what I understand, these dongles are very expensive. So, if I "lost" mine (cringe at THAT thought)- I'd freak or flip or something else. Then I would hunt for days before I gave up & ordered one or both. I work in a place with about 60 others & we all know whats off limits in each others area; so how do you lose your dongles- I am usless without mine, as I know you are? And, I just gotta know- how'd you melt it?

Yes, I understand, the dongles are the cost of the software. If you lose it, you have to pay full price for the software. I did not lose mine, I melted it. I only have 4 USB ports on my computer. I took of the OS dongle to put something else in and left it on my desk (I work from home) apparently too close to a box-looking AC/DC adapter that is attached to the power cord on my printer, which is next to the computer. It must have overheated because the dongle was stuck and unusably melted to this adapter box. So, $95+shipping later, I have a new one, but they wanted the melted one back. I guess to prove to themselves that I did not sell it and was trying to get a free one. Lesson learned. The adapter box is now on the other side of the printer away from my computer.

If you lose the DesignShop dongle, Melco will charge full price for a new one. Contact your salesperson for a new one.
It would be helpful if you put what state you are in if you ask questions here. I would suggest a salesperson if I knew where you lived.
