  • Needle Insert Tool

A few weeks ago someone posted an inquiry looking for a trick to insert and hold the needle in place while tightening the screw. I have a little tool that makes this easy as pie. I searched for the info on the retail end to no avail. I finially found it available mailorder. It is supplied by Dritz and is part #247. Using this tool will not damage the new needle. They sell for $1.39 plus freight and seem to not be available in the stores. When I located them and discovered how much the freight was I ordered 25. Anyone who wants one may have it for $2.00 including postage. Just email me at [email protected].

I got one of those when I bought a surger. It is just the right size hole in a piece of plastic. But I just use my tweezers.

Just place the needle in a pencil eraser head, insert and tighten.
