  • Magic Hoop

While at the NNEP conference in Columbus I stopped by to check out Hoopmaster's new Magic Hoop. The magnets are very strong. They had a Carhart jacket hooped with the jacket back. I shook the H..... out of it while it was hooped and it did not budge!! It is definitely on my wish list but right now I don't do much with jacket backs. The midsize hoop would be great for totebags.

Took me forever to find the info on the Magic Hoop...figured I'd post it here for everyone else.
If you don't already have a Hoopmaster, there is a special setup you need to order at the bottom of their price page.

Do you think it is possible to get just the Mighty Hoop itself and not the system? 2 hoops of just one size would be around $300 and that is enough for my budget.

maybe someone that owns one could tell us if you need any part of the system or if the hoops themselves would work. I think the 'system' includes the magnetic hold downs for the backing...

I have been hooping without magnetic holddowns for ages. I just want the hoop.

I tried to buy just the hoop, because I have a different hooping system and my husband is a woodworker so he can make the hoop brackets. I gave up trying, but it was a hectic day and I wasn't too persistent. If you can do it, let me know, 'cuz I want one too!

I would think that without a hooping device, that because of the strength of the magnets, it might be difficult to position thing correctly. Just my suspicion as to why they sell it together.

These are part of the "HoopMaster" system. You need to order the "fixture arm" to hold the bottom of the hoop and the backing. Also to stand is handy too. All that aside. This hoop is so cool. I have a 5.5. I'm getting the other sizes as soon as my budget allows. It speeds up the hooping process os if you can get 2 hoops of each size.

I would think they would sell just the hoop. How do they know that you didn't already buy the fixture under a different name. Or you could have bought it off of someone else and you just want extra hoops.

Now if you want to use the Mighty Hoop with the Hoopmaster you do need the fixture for the magnetic hoop. The magnetic hoop will not fit in your current fixture/arm. You can however use your original board/station. If I was a bigger business I wouldn't have hesitated to buy it on the spot (or if I did a lot of jackets or bags) but I need to grow my business before I can validate the expense.

                    Hi Guys,

This looks like a GREAT systems and I want to order the 10"x10" and the 11"x13" plus the hoopmaster that goes with it to start out with. I'll probably get the same for the 4.5" and 5.5" hoops afterwards if they are that GREAT.

I've been in Australia since October 2009 for work (not embroidery) and I miss my Amaya XT!! I can't wait to hear it hum again when I return back to San Diego the last week of April.

So I have a couple questions as I am thinking of ordering these things soon since there is a waiting period and would like them to be in San Diego when I return.

                    1. They are on sale now. Does anyone know long the sale is?

                    2. What is the sewing field of the Amaya XT, or do they only make it for the Amaya? Is the sewing field different for the 11"x13" vs. 4.5" hoops. I don't have any of my Amaya stuff with me in Australia.

                    Thanks!

There is a wait on them?? They had them in stock at the conference.

Hoopmaster has had stuff on their site on sale for several months now. I'm guessing they will still be on sale for a while.

You should just be able to tell them you have an Amaya and they will know which ones you need.

Yes you can buy just the hoop. Check out the web site and watch the video. It will answer most all your questions. Did I mention no hoop burn? I love mine.

You can buy just the hoop or just the hooping Device. or just half of the hoop.

I purchased the device and one hoop 5.5 x5.5
                          and an extra ring.
                          I already own their System..
( I am so Glad I did not go with the hoop it all system I have had to use it at a friends and I am not impressed)
Now back to the Magic Hoop is so fast to hoop and unhoop all I needed was the ring .
while one is on the machine I use the second ring to set up the next item and just pull the frame off the machine an litterly drop it on the device and BOOM!! it is hooped and on the machine.

Yes they can be used with out the device you just have to get use to how fast it goes.

No guessing with the top hoop put your backing under then the ring and get it lined up perfectly and drop the frame on it an BOOM!! your ready to go.

                          They are great!!

the extra rings are $49.00 the complete hoop is $135.00

Also I asked at DAX how long the sale was on for and she replyed Forever!?!?

so I would assume it will be a while.

I am going to order the 11X13 next..

I do really like it though have not found a down side, YET...

And staying with the name given to this thread not the name of the Magnetic Hoop by hoopmaster.
though that is what we are all talking about.
