Problem at time of cutting

Yesterday, the machine began a problem we have not experienced before. As it came to the time to cut, the needle stayed down, there was an unusual buzzing noise, and it would not do anything. I used the emergency stop, then did bottom up, and it would go. So, I closed down everything, restarted, and it worked fine. However, this morning it is doing the same thing again. There seems to be a problem with the cutting. Can anyone help with this little info? Thanks, in advance, for any help.

Maybe do the trimmer maintenance- remove needle plate>clean>oil>replace needle plate>center hole with new needle. Whenever one of my trimmer isn't behaving, this is the 1st thing we try, and it usually works.

Thanks, Gregory. We shut it down, brought it back up and did the trimmer maintenance, and, so far, so good. Again thanks for such a quick answer.
