WACF hooping guage (p/n 32525)

Does anyone else out there have trouble with the spindle becoming loose after hooping several caps? We have tightened ours up several times, only to have it become loose again after 5 or 6 caps are hooped? Do I need a new lock-nut or what? Any and all- please give me some ideas.

MIne was moving all over the place just a couple weeks ago, but it was after a couple monts of use... I just had one of my co-workers tighten it back up and I was good to go, I have done 2 dozen plus caps since!

I had to keep tightening mine also. I finally got a new bolt about 1/4" longer and a new lock nut. Tightened it up a little tighter than normal and no problems since. I have done a couple of 1,000 hat orders and a bunch of smaller orders since and not had to retighten again.

Then that's what I'll try- a slightly longer bolt & a new lock-nut! I'll let you know results after I give this a try. Thank you to both of you.
