  • Amaya OS not functioning.

When I shut down Amaya OS yesterday I received an unusual error message that continues to flash when I reopen when now. There error message is:
    Unrecognized Database Format'C:\PrgramFiles\MELCO EMBROIDERY SYSTEMS\AMAYA\SYSTEM\stat.mdb.

Any help on how to correct would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

My guess is that a reinstall should correct the problem... If you have a corrupt MDB file, reinstalling should put a fresh copy there - but you may want to confirm with tech support.

      Mike,

Your statistics database file is corrupted. This is the file that tracks all of the events related to sewing and is used to generate the statistical reports that show stitches produced etc...

There is no need to re-install the software to take care of the problem. Restart your computer and before you go into AOS, open Windows Explorer and go to the subdirectory shown in the error, then delete the stat.mdb file. When you restart AOS a new file will be created and AOS should run fine.

      Good luck

        Thanks John and FME540,

I tried the deletion of the stat.mdb file first and relaunched AMAYA OS and it worked perfectly. Not sure how it happened but I must have rushed the closure of the application which apparently corrupted the file. Thank you. Quick fix. I like those.
