Head Timing Amaya XT

I need to set the head and hook timing on my Amaya XT but cannot find the manual. Can anyone send me a link to instructions or tell me how to do it? Thanks.

There is no printed manual. It is a soft manual located on the parts disk that came in the operators kit that was supplied with your machine.

When you do find the tech manual, it is going to strongly recommend taking a techincal course when venturing out into "head timing" and the procedure is going to call for specific tools to be used that most Amaya owners do not possess. These gauges are available for sale by Melco but are not cheap.

Why do you feel you need to reset head timing???

Good question Ed. I have seen a lot of questions regarding hook timing. I have been running 8 AMAYAS for 3 years and not once have I had an issue with hook timing. I have ingested a sleeve or two in that period of time but it has not affected the hook timing.

Turns out that once I got the backing out that was jammed in the bobbin assembly, the timing was fine and everything worked just as it should. I did have to disassemble the outer part of the bobbin assembly to clear the jam, but nothing was thrown off. Thanks for your help.
