  • Schematics for Amaya Main board

    Hello everyone,

Due recent postings concerning the main board I have since received e-mails both private and thru my business e-mail inquiering about schematics for the main board on the Amaya.

I guess that other techs my have as well. Please understand that companies have a hard enough time and lose enough money dealing with "cracked" software and uneeded part replacements as it is.

Don't ask me to bite the hand thats feeding me.

You all know that although I may not post as often as some of the other techs, we all are here to help and assist you whenever we can.

I always sign my posts with "Feel free to call me". Some of you can atest to that late night or weekend call. I will always be there to help.

But not when it means taking business away from Melco.

Sorry if I have offended anyone.

Just out of curiousity, does Melco test/repair boards or is purchasing a new board the only option ?

I know with some other machine manufacturers, board repair is not an option [unless done by a third party].

My experience is that when you get parts and send back the bad ones (Boards and motors) Melco will recycle and recondition for their future need.

I just checked last week and repair and or reconditioned boards were not an option. The only option was a new board.

As customers we should all rattle Melco's cage about this problem. If we just sound off on the board it won't do any good. I'll start this morning.

I'm pretty sure the board (complete replacement for a new board) would be covered if you have a maintenance contract. Is this correct?

Call Melco. They will be able to help you. No, it can't be repaired.
