Sewing Patches

Has anyone sewn patches onto clothing using the Amaya XT and DS Pro+? I've had some customers ask. My thought was I could scan the patch and load into DS then digitize the outline, stich a basting stich like with an applique and then place the patch and sew it down with a single line/column stich. I'd appreciate any thoughts on this before I actually try it. I haven't actually stated I could do it, just said I'd look into it.

Hi Sue. I have, and it works great. Just like you said. Scan the patch, digitize on the outside edge, shrink 3 to 5 percent, add tie ins and offs and you're done!
