I have been embroidereing since 1984, and I will say these are the most finickey multi-head machines I have ever had the pleasure to run. I have been running my two for about 4 months now, and every day is different. After you learn that the machines are as different and as quirky as we humans are, you learn to enjoy the ride, or at least I have.

Every day - seriously? This doesn't sound too encouraging for someone teetering on a decision between an Amaya XT and another brand!Stacey
Sharp Edge Design(tm)
Your Partner in Self Expression!(tm)
www.SharpEdgeDesign.com

I wouldn't trade our three Amaya's for any other brand on the market today. I think you'll find many folks on this list have said plenty of good things about these machines over the years here.
Maintained properly, these baby's run and run and run and run. No mechanical device is without issues. If you read forums of any other brand, you'll find problems there as well along with the triumphs.John Yaglenski

They are different from any other commercial machine out there. Coming from other machines in some ways have a more challenging learning curve than coming in brand new. My previous experience had been with a home machine but it too was computer driven. I purchased my first Amaya in 2002 and a second (used) one in 2007. I run both machines all the time very consistently. You have to be willing to think differently and first think any problem is attributed to operator error and therefore fixable. They really are great machines.

Gregory & Stacey~
With any new machine it takes time to learn them and seriously 4 months is not enough time in my book...I have had my machine now for a couple of years and am still learning...
I had machine problems for the first couple of months but once it was fixed I didn't have a major issue with it until the beginning of this month and really it wasn't that huge of an issue but did need to bring my tech out which was good as he hadn't been out here since I first got it. Maintain your baby and it will run great once you figure out what it likes and don't like...
I would not trade my big red in for anything well ok maybe a million so I could buy more but that is it...
