  • Design getting cut off

I own 2 XT Machines. Recently one of my machines is cutting off the top of my design when sewing hats. Does anyone know why it is doing this. I am running the same settings on both of my machines. It just started doing this a few weeks ago on another design.

Very Interesting. When it sews out, does the possition appear to be the same on both machines?

Yes, I line it up exactly. It doesnt do it on every item. about 75% of the time on the run. I even shrunk the logo a little to see if it makes a difference. only occurs on hats.

It sounds like something is binding or catching when moving toward the crown of the hat. The driver or frame may be drooping a little and catching on the end of the needle plate or between the needle plate and the lower arm. If you move the rack manually with the hat driver installed you may be able to locate where it is binding. Hit E-stop, remove the hat and place the hat frame in the driver. Move the rack manually through the entire sew field. You may notice that the driver or hat frame catch in certain postions. If you locate the spot where it's catching you should be able to adjust it so it clears correctly.
