  • false bobbin breaks

Help please. I am brand new Amaya user. Training is next week. I am having false bobbin breaks. I tried changing the setting for actifeed lower limit as Ron suggested in earlier post. Iam doing caps which it looks like I should not be attempting yet. I have 12 more to go as afavor to my adult son's softball team. I have to have them done this afternoon. Got two that came out perfect.

Settings for hats are different than shirts...
pressor foot-we run it down to touching, so the hat face doesn't flag (bounce up and down) while it sews.
Sewing speed-start at 700, increase until you get breaks then back down 50. Probably you'll end up around 900-that seems to be the norm.
Design sewing-should always (if possible) start from the 'center' of the hat and sew out-center to right side, then center to left side-as design allows. If you have lettering under a logo, down near the brim, do the lettering first.
STIFF backing keeps the hat face in place...it's the material moving back and forth that causes a lot of false (or real) breaks.
