glitter thread

Has anyone used the glitter thread from gunold?I use the metallic all the time without any issues. Gunold said I should remove the plastic tube the thread runs through before stitching with it. Anyone have any thoughts?

I tried using Gunold did not work for me. Madeira is all I used then a few weeks ago I tried Isacord metallic slowed machine down to 850 and thread feed to six and no issues
