  • Selector Stepper Index Error

On only one of the Amaya XT machines today we are continually getting a "selector stepper index error - not on index while sewing" error message. The machine continues to stitch the design, though it is not effectively trimming the thread.

We have cleaned out the bobbin area and the trimmer area thoroughly.

What else can we do, and what could be causing this?

    Janet,

It means th at the selector is not retuning all the way to its home position and an optical sensor is detecting it....

To into Maintenance, Steppers and click Home in the Selector column. Also, at the bottom of the screen, click on Detect Trimmer. Should show trimmer type 0 for your XT machine.

Did you lubricate the Selector and Knife assembly after you cleaned the area? If not , do so. Any drag in the trimmer assembly can be suspect when one of these errors pop up...
