Can you test an XT without a PC?

Hi,

I am driving a long way to get a used 2003 or 2004 Amaya XT (white model with red plastic).

Is there a way to test it without bringing my laptop with the OS and a design? Is there something on the keypad that I can press to run a test sew?

Where are you going to get the machine? A third party tech might be an option.
