HoopTech dreamframe not fitting red wide angle cap frame driver

I purchased the hooptech dreamframe and I can not get it on my wide angle cap frame driver, it just doesn't want to fit. The dreamframe will lock on one side, but not on the other. And it is difficult just to get it to lock on one side, I can do my other cap hoops with one hand Is it just me, pilot error?

My melco cap frames fit easy and fine.
