  • New Thread Clovers

Just got a flyer today from MelcoMart and I saw the new Thread Clovers that are suppose to help stabilize the thread from the vibration of the machine. They have two sizes available...

My question is has anyone bought these yet and if so does it actually work?

Here is the link for them:

I found a really inexpensive way to stop thread vibrations. I get a package of round cotton cosmetic pads. Women normally use them for makeup removal. I fold them into half, then half again and snip a hole in the center. Put them on the thread holders then push the thread cone on top of them. I use alot of Madiera thread and it keeps them stable. I also use them for the smaller 1000 spools and just rest the small spools on top of them. Very stable, very cheap. You can find these in any drug or grocery store in the cosmetics isle.

        Cindy:

I actually do something similar as well except it is not working very well anymore so these look like they just may hold the spool in place better.
