Amaya Cart

Welp I have received my machine!!
I have purchased one of the rebuilt/refurbished Amaya's (vintage 2004). I received the delivery and was missing the screws and washers to put the cart together, got in contact with Melco and they over nighted the parts (was also missing 1 hoop). When putting the cart together there were to be 4 levelers that go in the top for the feet of the machine to sit on. They were not in my kit either, I have contacted Melco and was told that the new model carts do no require the leveling devices. My question is do the feet of the machine just now sit in the holes? By doing this the machine isn't being supported by the feet because the holes are deeper than the rubber feet. So the machine is sitting on the cart by the metal frame?? They said I should of gotten some documentation stating that the levelers are not needed, but I don't see any with my package. Any suggestions??

Ours was a new machine in 2004, and there was nothing about levelers...once the base was assembled we just picked it up and set it in place.
Only thing I have to keep checking is the wheel locks...my big feet must hit them and unlock, and it wanders around the floor a little.

If the cart is sitting on the medal frame of the machine, something is wrong. The new style carts do not use the "levelers" any longer, as you said. I have not measured the depth of the holes to see if there is a difference.

I would measure the depth of the holes and measure the height of the rubber feet on you machine and then let Melco know exacly what you are looking at......if by some chance there is a difference----just maybe you have an older stlye cart that needs the levelers---just guessing here.....?

Thanks for your quick response, I also just received a call from Melco confirming that the machine feet just sit down in the holes.

I'll keep an eye on the wheel locks.

The machine looks impressive, specially coming from a home machine. My daughter already has named it "Frank" from the Cars movie.

Thanks, I'll take a look tonight. It looks to me that the machine is sitting right on the frame, but I'll double check. If it is maybe I'll take a picture and send it in to the Melco folk. Maybe I did receive an old cart. Is there a way to tell the difference? Mine is a black molded plastic, with two metal pieces that are identical which make up the shelf and the back. Plus there is a support going across the front. It has casters front and back that swivel with locks on the front.

I just walked over to see how it sits..and there are black plastic 'cog wheels' under each 'leg'...so these must be levelers?
Nothing we remember ever adjusting-so they might have already been on the legs and we just didn't notice.
But there is at least an inch of 'space' between the white metal frame and the top of the cart.
Sue doesn't remember putting the 'leveler' in if that is what is there.
Are they shipped with those already on?
Or did we just put them in and not realize it so long ago?
The description of your cart sounds the same, but I have seen different ones-different 'shelf' or a drawer or something underneath, we have a larger bottom shelf we put the hat hoops on...

Barry the first carts came with a tray across the front about 4" deep but has now been relaced by just the support. All of the ones that I have seen look the same. There isn't much clearance but you don't need much. Just as long as the bottom of the machine doesn't ride on the top of the cart. Think vibration here......there is a lot of computerized control boards involved and the hard vibration needs dampened by the use of the rubber pads.

Very early on, a customer discarded the cart and mounted their machine solidly to a metal stand...nothing but problems, until they put it back on the stand...the Amaya's like to rock and roll on their " blue suede shoes" ( black rubber feet, that is )...it's their rhythm....go figure ;-}}

Update:

I do have the new cart style. Shining a light behind the support shown that it is sitting up off the cart by very slight amount. Thanks for all the help and advice!!
