Hello,
I have a first generation big red Amaya. I had to take off the head to replace the presser foot and was wondering if I need to re-calibrate it? I read somewhere you need to calibrate each needle? Or if there is anything else I need to do before powering it up. Looks like the take up leavers are not centered in the groove, some are sort of centered and some are not.
The also head seems to have some play in it (up and down on each side of the head) due to the fact there is only 1 bearing in the center, I see they change it to 2 bearings on each end on later models, good move. I wish I could upgrade it but the sensors are in the way.
