  • Upside Down Bobbin Case

I have a crisis! I was embroidering a design on the same sweatshirt I had embroidered another design on. I had not cut away the backing from the first design, but it was out of the way when I started the second design. Well, it ended up getting sucked into the bobbin case and gave me a Z Axis error. I cut out all the backing that was wrapped in around the bobbin case. The case was at an angle pointing at the 1:00 position. I performed a trim, backed up the needle position about 5 or 6 spaces and looked under at the bobbin case before starting up. (When I was backing up it was making an odd noise) When I looked at the bobbin case it was upside down in like the 7:00 position.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
    thanks!

It sounds like the retaining finger has become displaced and allowed the hook to spin. There is a slot in the front of the hook that the finger is supposed to set into.

Thanks for the response Herb. Is this something you have fixed before that you could give me more details on how to set right?
      Thanks.
