Bauds,
Is this an XT series Amaya?
Regardless, looking behind the needlecase and above the sewing arm....you will see a rectangular shaped hole. A silver rod about 1 inch in diameter will be visible. With the machine either turned off or with the Emergency stop button depressed, you will be able to manually turn this shaft by hand. Doesn't matter which direction, but you must be able to rotate this shaft 360 degrees in one direction or the other.
Unless something is binding, as you rotate the shaft the needlebar will go up and down. If the presserfoot is hung-up on the grabber blade or the rotary hook is frozen or the connecting rod is broken.....anything that will stop the full 360 degree rotation of the shaft. If you cannot rotate it 360 degrees, something is in a bind or broken.
If you can rotate it , rotate until the needlebars are ALL in the up position AND the takeup levers are ALL in the up position and lined up with each other. This will put the machine very close to its headup position.
Turn on the machine or release the Emergency stop button, go into Maintenance, Head timing and do a Head-up command. If it will do this, then go into the Steppers tab next to the head timing tab and left click on "Home" in the Color Change column....
Let us know what happens...
