  • Computer Monitor Not Quite Right

We just bought a new Dell with Windows 7 to replace the old Dell with windows XP professional. They gave me a wide screen monitor ( 11 1/2" X 20" ). I thought this is going to be great for digitizing. However, it seems jumpy especially when zooming in and working. Slow to respond to added points, or just plain jumpy, literally. Have trouble with things staying put as far as task bars, etc. I've tried it with and without the 3D accelarator on. Is this because of the wide monitor and anyone have any ideas on correcting this and still utilize the whole screen??? Thanks.

no it is prob. because it is a cheap dell monitor or video card with a very slow refresh rate.
you can try going in to your display settings and increasing the refresh rate.

Not all flat panel monitors are created equal.
