  • uneven vertical stiches

    Hi,
We have had our first embroidery machine (xts) for just 6 months, so there is a lot to learn.

a customer wants a text embroidered. Trying the ttf font we got some false threadbreads so we made the font a little wider with pull/comp and now it runs without threadbreaks.

Looking at the test sewout i realise that the quality difference between horisontal and vertical stiches is too big! Attached a picture.

We had a look at earlier embroiderys and saw a difference in some of the jobs but not this obvious.

Someone with an idea of how to fix this?

    Thank you / Markus

1 the issue may be due to density but it may also be the pique your sewing on.
try using a edge walk that is 4 or 5 points from the edge as un under lay.
    increase you density a bit.
I would also add 2 more points to your pull comp.
and try a topping if all else fails.

      Thank you Jerome!
I thought a font this narrow should have a centerline as underlay. The edge walk made a huge difference!
Took a new picture but I can not find a way to upload it posting this from my phone.
      Thank you/Markus
