  • Lights won't come on, hear humming, no action!

Oh my God! Of all things to happen, I have not used my machine in about 5 months. Today I decided I'd do a few webbing straps for a friend. I've been going through the installation of the AOS v10 and DS Pro+ for days now. I allowed the newest update to install to the OS and suddenly, the computer would not read the Ethernet adapter. Uninstalled that and reinstalled the previous version. I think it's ok now.
BUT, now I pulled the machine out, plugged the ethernet cable and power cord. Turn the machine on and nothing happens! The emergency knob has not been depressed, I double checked that. The LED light does not come on and the pantograph does not moved like it usually does when it starts up. Seriously? This machine is like new, I have not had much time to use it and now it won't work?
OK, What happened? After being turned on about 7 or 8 minutes, it just came on! Does anybody have an explanation as to what could be happening? I'm going to run a test before I do anything else. Have to oil everything first. Wish me luck

    Just a thought...
After not using the machine for that long the capacitors (almost like a battery) have drained and all information on the mother board has been lost. The machine needed a complete boot up from scratch to operate. Try shutting it off and restarting. If the boot up sequence is normal I would not be concerned.

You get a gold star for oiling her!!!
