  • Tech in Atlanta

Does anyone know who would cover the Atlanta area? The bars that raise and lower the needles on my machine have all dropped and it doesn't seem like it's something I should try to fix myself. Also, how do I find out if there is any kind of warranty on the machine?

There is a Tech that live in the Atlanta area. His name is Clarence. His number is 770-757-6921. Did you buy the machine 2nd hand? I asked because you didn't know if you were under warranty. You can call the company and they will have the information, give them the serial number. Hope this helps.

Dear It's A Baby (no name),
Apparently something has pushed your needle case forward to a point where it has knocked your needlebars out of their track and allowed them to drop down as you described.
This is definitely going to require the services of a technician so that further damage isn't created.
Clarence is going to be your closest certified tech if you live in the Atlanta area.
This was most probably caused by either your hoop arms being bent up too high or your "slimline" hoop was left in the "open" position while moving or it wasn't adjusted correctly to the machine to begin with. The last customer I saw with this problem was trying to use her old crooked EMC hoops on her Amaya XT and wasn't sure to verify everything was right. (Of course she didn't attend any Amaya training either.)
I hope Clarence will be able to get you back up and running again soon.
      Best of luck to you.

Dear It's A Baby (no name),
Your warranty will not apply, in this case, as this type of accident is considered "operator error". Kind of like buying a brand new car and driving it into a brick wall. It isn't the auto manufacturer's responsibility to fix the car because the driver didn't see the brick wall in his or her path. I know this doesn't make your situation any better but at least you be prepared when you hear this from Melco.
        Take care,
