    Hi All,
All of the advise given on this subject is well and good. But if I had a separate computer for every operation I run here in my home business, I would have over 10 computers.
Currently for my Amaya Machines, I have one computer that runs Design Shop Pro Plus and one computer for that runs the Amaya OS. That is not to say I don't use those computers for other things, I do and without any problems. Both computers have full access to the internet. The Amaya OS computer also runs a 24/7 radio email system for Winlink 2000 with a 75 watt vhf transmitter in the same room. Never a problem. As to the cordless phones in the same proximity as routers, there again, never a problem and I have one within 2 feet of my router and Amayas. All of my computers are networked behind the router, (3 Windows machines and 5 Macintosh Machines). They get along flawlessly. Just my 3 cents worth.
    Thanks
    Doug

Thanks guys for the info. All great comments but just for the record I have been running my machine from a dedicated ethernet card and at the same time running the Internet on another card for nearly ten years without so much as a whimper. This machine, Knock on Wood - My Desk, has been doing double duty just as long. Running Quickbooks Pro, music subscriptions like Rhapsody, multiple printers, video editing software including a variety of webpage developing software. For me it all hinges on how well you know your PC system and manage the information and devices attached to it. Thanks again and happy embroidering.
