  • Lost Ethernet Connection

Anyone had the ethernet drop out after completing a pattern. The Local Area Connection states that it is "unplugged" I put in a another card, no change. I replaced the cable, no change. I swapped the two cables, I have two ethernet cards, no change. I have rebooted the PC more times than I can count, no change. I have restarted the AMAYA several times, no change. I have run out of ideas to try. Any thoughts?

What operating system are you running? Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the AMAYA OS software? Has it been functioning properly prior to this? By "pattern" do you mean after a trace or after sewing out a file? Give us some more clues.

      Michael,
I lost connection between my computer and machine last weekend and it turned out my computer had changed some settings in my registry on its own!! I had to call Melco in Denver and talk to Sal in the computer department. He walked me through some changes in my regiedit which was all Greek to me. So, I would call them. There must be phantom in computers!! HTH Debbie

Thanks Debbie, I plan to call them as soon as they office opens, -Mike.

          Herb,

I had just finished stitching out a small pattern, 10k stitches. It happened two days ago once but came right back after closing OS and relaunching. This time it did not come back under any circumstances. I have never had this problem before and everything was working fine.

It is possible your machine has lost it's machine type in the registry and thinks it's an Amaya rather than an Amaya XT. Tech support will be able to walk you thru the procedure as others have mentioned. I would post it here but would rather you call them and diagnose the problem rather than just giving you a fix and not solving the issue

If that's it - they will have you online in a few minutes.
