  • needle set screw needed

hey everyone, I am looking for a needle clamp set screw for an Amaya XT. I believe it is part #001828-01. the part is less than $1 and everyone wants a ridiculous amount to ship. Does anyone have a spare they'd be willing to drop in the mail. I'm happy to reimburse you.

Find a small baggie, take another set screw, and head to your local hardware store with lots of bins of screws. It's amazing how often I can find what I need there. If not, they can usually identify the size and type, and I can find what I need on eBay or Amazon.

Judy gives good advice. Try an ace hardware if you have one - as they usually have more helpful and findable employees

LOL, is that what I did wrong? I sent my husband to True Value instead of Ace. He came back with a set screw; it fits the collar, but doesn't go through to the needle. And I have to use an allen wrench instead of a screw driver.

Honestly it’s .81 cents from Melco with standard shipping of $7. I’d get a few. When’s the last time you changed your thread feed rollers? Are there any other parts that might be good to have extras of? I’d order a few items and that will make the shipping hurt less.

But my time is money and I charge a lot more than $7 an hour. I know I’d waste more than that trying to find this item.

          That’s just me.
