  • Cluster Invalid

Well, as most of you can imagine. I have a project due, and the darn machine is not cooperating.

It is giving me an error message "Cluster invalid, master machine detached from system".
And the needle is in the down position.

I have tried rebooting, everything. Everything goes back in place. Then I try and run the design and the same thing happens again. It will run without the needle, until it detects no thread, so I replace the needle, and boom, back to that lovely error.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help

I took the needle plate off and it looks like the trimmer is out of place. I am checking the books, but if anyone out there knows what it is suppose to look like or if it is suppose to be loose, or what page I can find this info.
I appreciate any and all help

You need to delete some files - the files where the OS finds the last design to load. If you just delete these, the problem will go away. But I have to run and don't know off hand just where those file are. But they are in Program Files/Melco/Amaya/OS(or whatever) and then this is where I can't remember. But it will be the filename of the file that is causing problems. Just delete everything in the folder and you are goo to go.

          Debbie,

Juli has you on the right path just need to go a little further after you get into the melco/amaya/os find the jobs folder then the machine number if you have more than one then the current job and delete it (the job not the folder) this will clear the job you have in the machine and let you install it again. This may or may not solve your problem. Have you checked your ethernet cable and your hub?

As far as your trimmer goes look at the back and see if the wire is attached, if it is not, remove the clip that is holding the trimmer on and reattach the wire. If it is still attached go to OS and the maint tab, steppers, there should be a button at the bottom of the window that says detect trimmer, click on that and see if your timmmer goes back to home. You can also click on the trimmer out and in button to see if it responds.

Thank you so much Steve. The wire was not attached, I have reattaced it, and the machine is working fine. Can anyone explain why this has happened, and will it be a problem, I have to have fixed?

            Again thanks Juli and Steve.
