  • Bobbin Case

I have a broken bobbin case. I have an Amaya XT but for the life of me I dont know what type case I need Style L or Style A. Sorry I'm new and just have lots of questions. Also any needles better than another and my mederia thread seems very weak and breaks. Any tips?

    Thanks for your help

The bobbin case that you need is a style L, and you do not need one with a backlash spring.
As for the thread, the machines are tested with ARC thread and it seems to work well in the AMAYA machines.

      Stubby,

If the Maderia thread you are using is Rayon, yes it is weak and will fray and/or break at the higher speeds the Amaya can run at. Polyester threads have a much higher tensile strength.

As far as needles. The Amaya is tested with Organ DB XK 75/11 needles. These have a larger eye and can handle the higher speeds more efficiently. Use the ballpoint needles for knits and the sharps for woven material and caps.
