False Thread Breaks

My machine recently started to give me false thread break error messages, only on needle number 1. I don't get the message on the other 15. Can anyone advise what I should look for to correct this problem? Thanks.

Check your needle centering maybe?

When that happened to my 16th needle, they told me it could be the sensor that is housed in the round bar that your thread wraps around as it goes down to your needle. Try GENTLY rotating the bar...it is located across the front of your machine's face. Debbie
