  • Selector stuck out

I just got a bobbin break, then when I restarted the needle broke and now the selector (?) is stuck out. I shut off the machine and rebooted Amaya OS but I cannot get the selector back. No info on it in the manual. Can anyone help?

    Maureen,

This means that either the pushrod wire to the selector is broken or has become detached from the selector. The fact that you have broken a needle could pose another issue. The needle strike on the selector may have bent it or scarred it and this will cause thread breakage an/or fraying of the thread not to mention miss-trims would be a certainty.

You must remove the needleplate and inspect the selector and/or pushrod wire carefully for damage. If it just needs reconnected, you could do that. If the pushrod and/or selector has to be replaced, it probably means a visit from your tech.....worst case senario, that is.....sorry.....

Thanks, they are sending a tech, hopefully by the end of the week. Wow, what a helpless feeling when the machine is not working and you have to wait for someone.
