  • "new" overmolded pinch rollers

I decided to change the topic about the pinch rollers. There is a new pinch roller, referred to as "overmolded" as opposed to "textured". I asked the salesman at MelcoMart and my tech, and neither knew about them. I think I'm going to order the upgrade kit, which replaces the pinch rollers only, for both of my machines. I'll let everyone know what I find out.

Now that is real scary! When the supposed insiders are clueless. Makes the burden of discovery twice as hard for us. Good luck on your beta; I for one am very interested in knowing how they perform, and if any advantage to upgrade. .

I didn't mean to say this the way it may have sounded.
My tech was very interested and was going to order them so he could see what they're about. The word is out!

        All,

I believe the "overmolded" style of pinch roller is a pinch roller with the same yellow coating around it as the "threadfeed rollers have.

I know that they had been proto-typing these for some time and now it appears they may have finally released them for public use.

Advantages would be the wear or grooving of the red plastic roller vs an even longer life and a better more positive gripping surface with the yellow "over molded" pinch rollers. I would think that any " high production " operation would definitly benifit from the use of these rollers.

This would be my best guess as to what these new " overmolded " are......

I just ordered the overmolded upgrade. I'm looking forward to seeing them work.

The overmolded thread feed rollers were designed to improve the accuracy and quality of the thread delivery to the garment for even higher quality and crispier embroidery.
            * Highly improved wear characteristics. These rollers, if maintained properly, will show less overall wear, especially on the roller surface over time.
            * Higher accuracy in the thread delivery and hence crispier stitches through higher wear resistance and increased thread holding power to reduce any thread slippage.
            * Less wear and thread slippage results in a great reduction of potential looping of the upper thread on the garment.
            * Cleaner looking and higher quality embroidery especially on small-stitch embroidery designs and lettering.
            * Elimination of the potential issue with the thread slipping out from in between the thread feed and the pinch roller.

These are currently in stock at MelcoMart and a set of 16 can be purchased for $58.00.

For more questions on these or for a MelcoMart catalog please just e-mail or call Nick at [email protected] or 800-877-4272 ext 1025
