needle stuck in down position

I am new to the group. I was sewing caps and the needle just stopped in the down position. I cannot get it to move. I did a search on the subject but have found no remedies. Can anyone help??

Have you gone to the Maintenance Menu in the O/S and done a "Heads Up" in the Head Timing section?

Hi,
I have only a Amaya. When that happens to me I try head up,also if that doesn't work shut off machine and turn on. Most times the needle goes up and will go back to last place.
