  • Ring Gauge

    We are doing our first Hat order, and wouldn't you know it, our Amaya didn't come with what I believe is called the ring gauge. This is the part that clams to a work bench. Should this piece been part of my order? I do have 2 of the Amaya XT style wide cap frames and the driver that goes on the machine. Just no ring gauge. I was hoping this might be a universal type of thing but a call to my local sew shop squashed that real quick. Of course our order is due this coming Thursday. I know this is a shot in the dark, but if any body has an extra I could buy this is kind of local to me (Lehighton, PA)? or any other things I could try absent this part until I could get one. I'll call on Monday right away and have one shipped overnight.

    The part that clamps to the table fits any hoop that goes on the machine (I think). Just try to put the hoop on the ring gauge and see if it goes on.

    When I bought the older style hoop, I did not get the ring guage either. They said it would fit on the one I had and it did. You shouldn't have a problem.

      Thanks for the reply, That's my problem, I didn't receive any ring gauge with my package. If it's something you normally would get with a startup package I can fight a bit with Melco, but I need to get one.

        Barry, if you purchased all your things from Melco new, then, yes, you should have received your ring gauge as well. Call your sales rep.

          Hi Barry:

          E_mail me privately if you really need to get the order started well before your Thursday delivery. If it is a small order you may have no problems but if it is large.....

            you should of received the gauge. Call melco and im sure they'll take care of you. Theyre good like that.

              I'd like to thank everybody that replied both via this forum and directly. What a great Amaya community is out there to help. We are going to be able to borrow Larry's ring gauge until I can get ours from Melco. I agree with Daniel, Melco has been great to work with and I don't anticipate much trouble getting my missing ring gauge.
